Top 5 Soulful Weddings at Triyuginarayan Temple: Where Love Meets Legacy

4 min read

In the sacred hills of Uttarakhand lies Triyuginarayan Temple — a spiritual gem believed to be the celestial wedding venue of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Today, it stands not only as a place of worship but also as a dream wedding destination for couples seeking something meaningful, timeless, and rooted in legacy.

At Prism Eye Productions, we’ve had the privilege of capturing many such love stories, and here are five that truly moved us — not just visually, but spiritually.

1. Pooja & Avnish — A Journey of Love from Mumbai to the Sacred Hills

From the colorful streets of Mumbai to the serene stillness of the Himalayas, Pooja and Avnish’s journey was one of quiet power. What started as a pilgrimage ended in a life-changing decision — to marry at Triyuginarayan Temple, where the sacred flame still burns from the time of Shiva and Parvati.

Living abroad, they flew back to India, not for a lavish celebration, but to honor a sacred connection. Every ritual, every moment was intimate and intentional. The foggy air, the sacred chants, and the presence of their love made every frame we clicked feel like a blessing preserved in time.

2. Priyanka & Nitesh — From Fate to Faith at Triyuginarayan

Their love began unexpectedly in a hotel in Akola — Priyanka, a guest; Nitesh, a staff member. Destiny had a plan.

Despite family resistance due to caste differences, and after a failed wedding attempt in Pune, Priyanka found solace in the divine union of Shiva and Parvati. In 2022, they set out for Triyuginarayan — but Nitesh was badly injured in an accident on the way. The dream had to wait.

Two years later, in February 2024, they returned — and it snowed. Locals called it a divine sign, the first snowfall of the season gracing their vows. Barefoot and full of faith, they married at last, proving that love truly conquers all. Capturing that moment felt like witnessing a miracle.

3. Kanupriya & Amit — Where Belief and Love Converged

Kanupriya, a Shiva devotee, had always dreamed of getting married at Triyuginarayan. Amit, her partner, wasn’t religious but deeply spiritual — believing more in the Creator than in rituals. When she shared her dream, he didn’t dismiss it. He researched, reflected, and realized the temple sat in the very mountains they both loved to trek.

That spark of understanding turned into a shared dream. Getting their families on board was a challenge, but the universe had other plans — both families welcomed the idea with joy.

Their wedding was a union of belief systems, built not just on rituals but on mutual respect, love, and support. We captured it all — from the shy glances to the bold vows — with nature and devotion as their backdrop.

4. Arpana & Chetan — Love in Layers, Across Cities and Time

After eight years of being in love, a brief separation, and a long-distance relationship between Kolkata and Dehradun, Arpana and Chetan finally sealed their forever at Triyuginarayan in 2024. Their story is one of reunion and resilience. They reconnected on January 1st, 2016 — a date they always held close — and chose to marry in the divine embrace of Triyuginarayan. The ceremony was intimate, with only their closest ones present, yet the love in the air was grander than any crowd could bring.

Some bonds don’t need noise; they need meaning — and that’s what this wedding gave us. Every look, every hug told a story of love that had matured like fine wine.

5. Monika & Sanam — A Minimalist Wedding Under the Himalayas

Sometimes, love whispers — and it’s still just as powerful.

Monika wanted a quiet wedding — no pomp, just the presence of God and her beloved Sanam. She surprised him with a spiritual twist: what he thought was a pre-wedding shoot turned out to be their real wedding!

Forever began at the eternal flame of Triyuginarayan

Amid minimal decor and maximum emotion, they tied the knot in complete serenity, letting the Himalayan light, temple chants, and their raw emotions take center stage.

They did celebrate later with friends and family in the cities — but their real moment happened quietly, divinely, at Triyuginarayan. For us, photographing this wedding was a reminder that sometimes, the loudest love is the one that speaks in silence.
